About the Role

We are seeking a caring, committed, and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team from September 2026. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN, including EHCP needs
  • Support pupils with learning, communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement support strategies
  • Assist with adapting learning activities and resources
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Support pupils with personal care where required
  • Monitor and record progress, contributing to reviews and meetings
About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children with SEN (school or relevant settings desirable)
  • Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing
  • Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (or is willing to work towards them)
