About the RoleAs a Graduate SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism, SEMH, speech & language needs, and complex needs
- Work across primary, secondary, or specialist school settings
- Help pupils engage with learning, manage behaviour, and build confidence
- Make a real difference to students’ academic and emotional development
You’ll be placed in schools across Brighton and surrounding areas, with opportunities tailored to your interests.

We’re looking for graduates who are:
- Passionate about working with children or young people
- Interested in education, SEND, or mental health
- Empathetic, patient, and resilient
- Confident supporting behaviour and building relationships
- Eager to learn and develop professionally
Requirements:
- A university degree (within the last 5 years)
- Experience with children is desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Driver preferred but not essential
Psychology graduates are especially encouraged to apply.
