Support. Inspire. Make a difference every day.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a warm, inclusive and ambitious primary school as a Teaching Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in helping children thrive both academically and personally.

This role will be predominantly based within our specialist Resource Base, supporting pupils with identified communication and language needs, although flexibility to work within our mainstream provision will be required as needed.

This is an incredibly rewarding role for someone committed to inclusive education who wants to make a meaningful difference every single day.

Your new school

Lift Beacon is a thriving primary school in Loughborough with a specialist resource base supporting 36 pupils with communication and language needs. The school is part of Lift Schools-a national trust of 57 schools offering excellent development opportunities and career pathways.

Rated 'Good' in all areas by Ofsted, the school continues to go from strength to strength. As an IQM Centre of Excellence, inclusion sits at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to ensuring every child feels supported, valued and able to succeed.

Led by Principal Ben Kilgannon, the school has a strong community feel and a collaborative culture where staff are genuinely valued. With high expectations, a rich curriculum and a focus on personal development, Lift Beacon is a place where both pupils and staff can flourish.

You will:

  • Support teaching and learning across the classroom
  • Work with individuals and small groups of pupils
  • Provide specific targeted support to meet pupils' individual needs
  • Promote independence, confidence and social development
  • Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Support pupils with a range of learning needs
  • This is a highly rewarding role where you will make a real impact on children's lives every single day.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Passionate about supporting children's learning and development
  • Patient, calm and empathetic
  • Considerate and responsive to individual pupil needs
  • Able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Enthusiastic and able to engage and motivate learners

You will ideally have:

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards this
  • An understanding of different learning needs and how to support them. Experience working with pupils with identified SEND needs is desirable.
