Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with teachers to support personalised learning plans
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs
  • Assist pupils with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation
  • Support behaviour management using positive strategies
  • Help create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Assist with personal care where required
  • Encourage independence and confidence in all pupils

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (highly desirable)
  • Understanding of conditions such as autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to undertake training and continuous professional development
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
