Wellbeing (Activities) AssistantFormby Manor Care HomePart Time, Permanent£12.71 per hour (with alternate weekend working)We’re looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Wellbeing Assistant who is passionate about supporting meaningful activities and enhancing quality of life. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, engaging, and enjoys bringing energy and positivity into a team environment.In this position, you’ll support the planning and delivery of a range of activities designed to promote wellbeing, engagement, and social interaction. You’ll help create a varied and inclusive programme, encourage participation, and contribute to a positive and stimulating atmosphere.This is a 20-hour contract, paid at £12.75 per hour, working 10:30–15:30 over 4 days per week, on a rota that includes every other weekend.You’ll benefit from a consistent working pattern, a supportive team, and the opportunity to make a genuine difference through meaningful engagement and activity.Our interview process is simple and welcoming — a single visit with an informal interview, giving you the chance to meet the team and see if the role is right for you.About Formby Manor Formby Manor is a purpose-built care home facility situated in Formby, Merseyside. The home is registered to provide care to 76 residents who have a variety of needs including residential, nursing and dementia residential. The home meets all CQC requirements and provides the highest standards of safety, comfort and care to residents. The home reflects the Lovett Care vision of providing the highest standards of safety, comfort and care. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful programme of daily activity and gentle exercise to enhance the experience, care and wellbeing of our residents. All team members are hand selected for their warmth and passion; they have a full induction and ongoing training from our in-house trainers. Across Lovett Care all of our staff are paid the national minimum wage or above.Role Responsibilities:- Contribute to the creation of ongoing weekly activity programmes that ensure a wide range of opportunities are available to stimulate the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of all residents.
- Provide an innovative programme so that residents can achieve extraordinary things, with their capabilities.
- Motivate and guide other members of staff in the home to incorporate wellbeing and activity into their role wherever possible, with support and direction from the Wellbeing Coordinator.
- Be familiar with a resident’s life story and Wellbeing and Activity plan for each residents and contribute to that plan and that it is regularly reviewed.
- Ensure adequate and up to date risk assessments are in place for all events and activities planned and undertaken in liaison with the Wellbeing Coordinator.
- Understand the needs of people with the various conditions residents have in the home.
- Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults that the post holder is responsible for or comes into contact with.
- Experience of working with older people is essential.
- Experience of delivering an activity programme is essential.
- Evidence of the ability to assess, plan and evaluate the activity needs of older people is essential.
- The ability to work individually and in a team is essential.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritise and handle emergency situations effectively.
- Be creative, imaginative and enthusiastic and have the ability to forward plan .
