Shunter Driver

Arbor Forest Products, New Holland, North Lincolnshire

£15.84 per hour

39 hours per week | Day Shift Only | 6:00am 3:00pm

Permanent role from day one

The Role

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Shunter Driver to join our team at our New Holland site. This is a day-shift-only position offering stable hours and the opportunity to work within a well-established and growing business. Main Duties:

Coordinate the movement of trailers on-site to ensure timely loading

Manage trailer park areas efficiently

Assist visiting drivers in adhering to site rules

Carry out vehicle checks to prevent defective trailers from being loaded

Monitor trailer availability and report shortages to the Loading Supervisor

Secure or assist in securing loads for timely departures

Close trailer curtains on loaded trailers at shift end and during adverse weather conditions

Complete occasional customer deliveries as required

Run vehicles to vendors for servicing

Support general yard activities including de-skidding

Maintain high housekeeping standards within the yard

Please note: this list is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be required by management as needed.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential:

LGV Class 1 Licence

Driver CPC Card

Good communication skills
