Join our dedicated team as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and contribute to a nurturing and stimulating educational environment. You will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and lead whole-class teaching for PPA cover. This role is ideal for someone who embodies our school values, ensuring a calm and inclusive environment where pupils feel safe and motivated.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assist teachers in the delivery of daily lessons and manage whole-class activities during PPA cover.
• Model the school’s values, creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Focus on safeguarding and pupil welfare as a priority in all school activities.
• Use your energy and initiative to contribute to school life through collaboration, clubs, and fostering positive relationships.
• Utilize ICT and digital tools to enhance teaching effectiveness and pupil engagement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Good standard of education, including GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
• Sound understanding of child development and learning strategies tailored to individual needs.
• Confidence in using ICT and digital tools to support teaching and learning.
• Awareness of the National Curriculum and effective classroom strategies to promote pupil progress.
• Experience in supporting teaching and learning within a primary school or similar setting.
• Proven ability to engage, motivate, and inspire pupils using creative and inclusive approaches.
• Skilled in managing small groups or covering whole classes under teacher direction.
• Demonstrated ability to promote positive behaviour and maintain a purposeful learning environment.
