HGV Driver

Job description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Basildon area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.

*please note that Class 1 or 2 can apply - typically driving a Class 2 vehicle however, on occasions may be Class 1 vehicle*

Shift : Monday to Friday with occasional weekend requirements

Start times: Typically 9am however, can be earlier or later.

Pay: £17.50 per hour PAYE

Location:Basildon, SS14

Job Type:Ongoing.

The role:

• Bulk Multi-drop- average of 15- 20 drops/collections, drivers will be required to unload and load the roll cages using tail lift and pump truck.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 or 2 entitlement (category C&E / C).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• 6 months minimum experience required
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
