As a SEMH Teaching Assistant in Hemel Hempstead, you will:

• Provide tailored classroom support to students with SEMH needs and additional behavioural challenges
• Support students with SEMH needs, ASD, ADHD, and associated learning or behavioural difficulties
• Help create a positive, nurturing, and structured learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and wider school staff
• Support the implementation of behaviour strategies and monitor student progress
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or within an SEMH setting
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or additional behavioural needs
• Strong behaviour management and classroom support skills
• A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach to supporting students
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
