Protocol Education is working with a supportive primary school in North Bristol to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a specialist resource base for speech and language needs, starting ready for the next academic year.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone passionate about SEND and communication support to work closely with children who need extra help developing speech, language, social interaction, and confidence within the classroom.
The role is based in a structured and nurturing resource base, supporting pupils through a mixture of 1:1 and small group interventions alongside experienced SEND staff and speech & language professionals.
There is strong potential for the role to continue into the next academic year.
The role:- Supporting pupils with speech and language delays within a specialist resource base
- Delivering 1:1 and small group communication interventions
- Supporting social interaction, emotional regulation, and learning engagement
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and speech & language therapists
- Helping create a calm, supportive, and engaging learning environment
- Full-time role
- Pay from £92.36 per day PAYE
- Has experience supporting children with SEND or speech and language needs, desirable but not essential
- Is patient, nurturing, and a confident communicator
- Has a genuine interest in communication and language development
- Works well as part of a team and can follow structured support strategies
- Wants to help children build independence and confidence

Please note: the school is based in the BS10 area of North Bristol, so the ability to travel to this location reliably is essential.
