Job Title:HGV Class 2 Driver (Days) Ad-Hoc & Ongoing
Location:Preston
Salary:£14.5 per hour | £16.25 with Holiday Pay
Overtime after 8h£21.75/h or £24.37/h with holiday pay
Job Type:Full-time, Part-time, Ad-Hoc
Shifts:Day Shifts Monday to Friday (varied start times available)

About the Role

Careermakers Recruitmentare currently recruitingHGV Class2Day Drivers on behalf of our client based inPreston. Due to continued growth and peak demand, we have bothongoingandad-hoc day shiftsavailable to suit a range of availability and working preferences.

You will be responsible for nationwide deliveries and collections, with a focus on safety, compliance, and delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out deliveries and collections across the UK during the day.
• Ensure loads are safely strapped and secure.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any issues.
• Maintain clear communication with the transport office.
• Accurately complete paperwork and represent the client professionally.

Requirements

• ValidClass 2licence with currentCPCandDigi Tacho card.
• Minimum 6 Months Class 2 experiencein the UK.
• Strong understanding of EU driver hours and regulations.
• No more than6 pointson your licence andno major endorsements(e.g. DR10, IN10, TT99).
• Good communication skills and a flexible, customer-focused approach.
• Able to work independently and maintain professional standards.
