Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Pimlico, Central London September 2026 Start Full Time | Term Time Only

An independent primary school based in Pimlico is looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced HLTA to join their team from September.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys taking an active role within the classroom and is confident delivering lessons independently. Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold a recognised HLTA qualification and have previous experience working within a primary school setting.

The successful candidate will support teaching and learning across the school, provide class cover when required, and work closely with pupils to help them achieve their full potential.

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across the primary age range
• Providing whole class cover in teacher absences
• Supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally
• Delivering intervention groups and booster sessions
• Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and learning support
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement throughout the school day

• Qualified HLTA status
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Experience teaching or covering classes independently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, flexible and proactive attitude
• A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners

The school offers a supportive working environment, welcoming staff team and excellent transport links within Central London.

Interviews will be arranged on a rolling basis ahead of a September start.
