Avidity Science is recruiting a Business Development Manager – Healthcare (UK) to drive growth across our Clinical and Decontamination portfolios. This is a national, field‑based role focused on new business acquisition, account development, and project‑led solution selling within the healthcare sector.


You’ll play a pivotal role in expanding our UK healthcare footprint, working closely with customers, OEM partners and internal project teams to deliver high‑quality, value‑driven solutions that genuinely improve patient environments.


This role is UK‑wide and will involve extensive travel.

Your Role

As Business Development Manager – Healthcare (UK), you will:

  • Drive growth of Avidity Science’s Healthcare (Clinical and Decontamination) business across the UK, working closely with the UK Business Development Manager
  • Identify, develop and win new business opportunities and accounts, with a strong focus on NHS and healthcare environments
  • Build and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline, ensuring accurate tracking, forecasting and governance through Salesforce
  • Engage with end users and OEM partners to deliver complex, solution‑based and project‑led sales
  • Develop deep understanding of customer applications and operational needs, proposing tailored, value‑driven solutions
  • Collaborate closely with internal project teams to ensure smooth handover and successful project execution
  • Develop and propose appropriate service and support solutions aligned to customer requirements
  • Deliver system handover training to customers, ensuring a seamless transition to customer support teams
  • Monitor, analyse and report on market trends, customer needs and competitor activity
  • Build trusted, long‑term relationships across clinical, estates, procurement and engineering stakeholders


What We’re Looking For

  • Healthcare Business Development Experience: A proven track record in business development, with demonstrable success in winning new business within the UK healthcare sector.
  • NHS Experience (Essential): Hands‑on experience working with the NHS — understanding its structures, procurement processes, stakeholders and decision‑making environment is critical for success in this role.
  • Solution & Project Selling Expertise: Experience selling complex, solution‑based or project‑led offerings rather than transactional products.
  • Commercial & Influencing Skills: Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and close deals at multiple levels of an organisation.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Confident engaging with both end users and OEM partners, with credibility and professionalism.
  • Self‑Motivated & Resilient: Proactive, results‑oriented and comfortable working autonomously in a national, field‑based role.
  • CRM Discipline: Comfortable managing pipelines, forecasts and opportunity data within CRM systems (Salesforce experience preferred).
  • Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the UK.
