Sales & Customer Service Operator
Location: Reading
Salary: £29,500 – £33,000 + Bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm

Job Type: Full Time
We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Sales & Customer Service Operator to join our busy Reading branch.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining sales, customer service, trade counter support, and branch operations. You’ll assist customers in person and over the phone, prepare quotations, process orders, and help ensure the branch runs smoothly day to day.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers over the phone and at the trade counter
• Prepare quotations and follow up sales opportunities
• Process customer orders and update customers on progress
• Promote products, upgrades, and seasonal offers
• Maintain accurate sales records and paperwork
• Work closely with transport, stores, and administration teams
• Support stock ordering and branch merchandising
• Assist with shows, displays, and general branch presentation
• Help with goods in, stock handling, and general branch duties

What We’re Looking For

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Sales experience or confidence upselling products
• Computer literate and comfortable using internal systems
• Positive, hands-on attitude with a strong team ethic
• Organised with good attention to detail
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors when required
• Physically fit and willing to support with manual handling duties
