Job description
Quantum Scholars are working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Wokingham, who are looking for an experienced Chemistry Tutor to deliver 1:1, in-person tuition for a secondary-aged pupil in Wokingham.
This role involves supporting a student currently outside of mainstream education, often due to additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical needs.
About the role:
Provide 1:1 Chemistry tuition to a secondary-aged pupil
Support a student in alternative provision or EOTAS
Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the pupil's individual learning needs
Sessions typically take place in the pupil's home or a suitable community setting
1 hour per week, starting after Easter and running until the end of the academic year
Flexible, part-time hours during school hours

Requirements:
QTS preferred but not essential
Experience supporting pupils with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, or SEMH
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
Full Right to Work in the UK
Ability to travel within Wokingham
