Chartered Town Planner Degree Apprenticeship

Location: Cheshire Full-time Start: 2026/27 academic year

This job is designed for individuals who have not yet completed a university degree.

OverviewMy client is offering an opportunity for an Apprentice Planner to join their team through a structured degree apprenticeship programme. This role provides exposure to a variety of planning projects within a professional environment, supporting the development of core skills and industry knowledge.

This position is well suited to sixth form leavers or individuals with Level 3 qualifications who are looking to begin a long-term career in planning while earning a salary and gaining practical experience.

Salary & Benefits

Starting salary of 21,000 per annum, with structured progression throughout the programme

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

The ApprenticeshipThis programme is designed for individuals who have not yet completed a university degree. It combines paid employment with part-time academic study at a UK university, enabling progression from foundational learning through to a postgraduate-level qualification and ultimately Chartered status.

The apprenticeship typically spans up to six years, reflecting the full academic and professional development pathway from entry-level through to chartered status.
