We are looking for caring female Healthcare assistants to join our Nursing home located in Cleckheaton, Kirkleed, west Yorkshire.

This 86-bedded Nursing and Residential Care Home specialises in the care of residents with dementia, Alzheimers, elderly.

We are unable to accept student visas or skilled workers.

We do recruit care assistants with experience living in the area or able to relocate within 2 weeks.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time, hours: 36-42 per week

Salary: starting at £12.71 per hour

Responsibilities

Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting and assisting Residents when required with all aspects of daily living.

Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs, e.g. Physical, emotional and spiritual.

Provide supervision and attention when needed, ensuring Residents retain their comfort and dignity.

Observe care planning needs for Residents and complete daily records as instructed.

Assist in framework of social activities by interacting with Residents and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the Care Centre.

Answer Nurse Call system, giving assistance as required.

Answer the door and telephone appropriately.

Respond accordingly, and pass on messages promptly.

Report on well-being of Residents.

Clean and maintain equipment used by Residents and Relatives e.g. Wheelchairs, hearing aids, spectacles, etc.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Team player.

Ability to work on own initiative.

Previous experience of working with the relevant Service User group for at least 6 months.

Live in the area and able to commute.

Right to work in the UK.

DBS check and 2 satisfactory references (We will require a DBScheck which we can assist with this and 2 satisfactory references).
