Our public sector client are looking for HGV Drivers to join them on a temporary basis.Location: LeicestershirePay Rate:£15.50 per hour (during training)£16.50 per hour (post-qualification)Job Summary:We're looking for a qualified and reliable HGV Driver to transport waste from Leicestershire County Council's Recycling and Household Waste Sites (RHWS) to disposal facilities using hook loader vehicles.Key Responsibilities:Safely collect and transport waste using HGV hook loadersComplete daily job schedules efficiently and accuratelyCarry out vehicle checks and report defectsMaintain clean and fuelled vehiclesWear uniform and PPE at all timesCommunicate professionally with site staff and the publicFollow instructions from Transport Supervisor and Fleet ManagerEnsure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and safety regulationsEssential Qualifications & Experience:Valid HGV licenceDriver CPCLoading shovel ticket (or willingness to obtain)Experience with HGVs and waste haulage preferredFamiliarity with hook loaders and easy-sheet systemsSkills Required:Team player with good communication skillsFlexible and dependablePresentable and professional appearanceAwareness of HGV driving and waste management regulations
