Overview The Doggy House is excited to announce this new opportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. You will work with the Daycare Manager and senior management on day-to-day operations of the dog daycare centre, involving a range of activities from taxi service to promotional media and events, staff training and management. Join a dedicated team of animal lovers to provide a fun, safe, enriching environment for our dogs.Responsibilities Supervising play groupsDeliver the highest standards of dog care and ensure the welfare of the dogs is a top priorityContinually improve dog engagement and support carers where neededProvide the highest level of customer serviceLead by example with professionalism and accountability for all policies and proceduresAssist the Daycare Manager with carers development and training for new carersCreate engaging social media posts and reelsOrganise and coordinate party days for occasions such as Halloween, Christmas, etc., and motivate participationLead the Student Work Placement ProgrammeKeep the play centre clean and identify maintenance requirementsProvide cover for the Daycare Manager when requiredProvide support to the management team when requiredSome driving to collect/return dogs home in a company vanQualifications & Requirements Minimum of 3 years working professionally with dogs in a similar environmentMinimum of 2 years experience managing a teamDesire to learn more about dog behaviour and socialisationPositive and enthusiastic attitudeStrong communication skills and ability to train and develop teamsStrong planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task and problem solve with attention to detailReliable and trustworthyPassion for photography and social mediaFull UK driving licence and confident driving a medium sized vanFlexible to working hours; shifts range from 6 to 10 hoursHours & Pay Hours: 35 or more hours per week averaged.
