Junior Kitchen Manager (Sous Chef)

About the RoleWe're looking for a Junior Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef for our Papa John's kitchen.

Responsibilities

Support kitchen operations and lead a team of up to 10 (reporting to the Kitchen Manager/Head Chef).

Ensure guests remain the central focus of all operational decisions, monitoring experience and developing action plans for continuous improvement.

Manage resources, recruitment, and selection to build a high‐performing team.

Deliver food cost budgets, effective menu planning, cooking to standards and specification.

Maintain food hygiene standards and health and safety in line with legislation and company policies.

Manage margins, control costs and oversee all health, safety and hygiene related tasks.

Qualifications

Experience in a similar level role.

Level 3 Food Safety qualification (or equivalent).

Confidence in leading a team to consistently deliver high standards in a fast‐paced, busy kitchen environment.

Hardworking, determined, reliable and proactive in improving team performance.

Energetic, enthusiastic, high‐spirited and fun‐loving, with a strong focus on guest experience.
