We have 5 supported living houses in the Carlisle area providing 24 hour support, our childrens services operates from the Grace Little Centre in Carlisle and we provide adult respite within California House. We run both adult and children outreach services and facilitate adult activities.
We require a dynamic, caring forward thinking person to provide individualised person-centred support to people who have learning disabilities in our services.
You will work in partnership with individuals to enable them to take active control over their lives and make progress toward their personal goals. You will work in an anti-discriminatory manner, ensuring that the rights and entitlements of the Service Users are respected at all times. You will promote self-esteem, independence and social inclusion. The successful applicant will be able to think on their feet, work under their own initiative at times and respond to situations with a proactive attitude.
We provide full training for all our staff and the ability to obtain fully accredited qualifications.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
