Academics, a specialist Teacher Recruitment Agency, are acting as an agency on behalf of an inclusive secondary school in Ellesmere Port who are now recruiting a dedicated and reliable individual to work as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant starting 1st June 2026.

What You'll Do

• Provide dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant support to a secondary-aged student
• Help the student access learning and stay engaged in lessons
• Work closely with teaching staff to support progress and inclusion
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence
• Build a strong, consistent relationship as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant within the school day

Ideal Background

We are looking for an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant with:

• Proven experience working in a school setting
• A calm, patient and proactive approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
