About the role:

Our client is a wonderful and engaging 9 year old little boy who has complex health needs and lives at home with his parents and two younger sisters. Our client has cerebral palsy, visual impairment and speech challenges so he uses makaton and a communication device. He is a wheelchair user and has a PEG feed.

This role will be to support him in his family home and out in the community, walking him to and from school and also taking him to do activities. The role will involve enhancing his mobility and helping with his various therapies, alongside providing access to play and social outings. Our client loves learning new things, enjoys music, creative activities and sports including football.

What we're looking for:

  • Ideal candidates will hold a full UK drivers licence (and be over 25 for car insurance purposes) to drive the family vehicle.

When you will be working:

  • Morning shifts (weekdays, 7am-10am)

  • Afternoon shifts (weekdays, 3pm-7pm/7.30pm)

  • 2 x Saturdays a month (6 hr long shifts - either 7.30am-1.30pm or 8am-2pm)

  • Part time or full time available depending how many shifts a week you are looking for

In this role, youll support one individual with complex needs, working regular weekly shifts to build a consistent, trusted care team. While hours are usually stable, the position is offered on a zero-hours contract as care packages can change.
