Senior Institutional Sales – Investment Research / Data Platform

F&L Search is looking for a Senior Institutional Sales – Investment Research / Data Platform

Job description

F&L Search is working with a leading institutional research and investment intelligence firm looking to hire a high-potential institutional salesperson focused on winning new buy-side relationships across Europe.

This is a pure hunter role focused on generating and converting new business with hedge funds, asset managers, multi-managers and other sophisticated institutional investors. The individual will own the full sales cycle from origination through close, partnering closely with an existing account management function once clients are onboarded.

The business is highly regarded within institutional markets, works with many of the world's leading investment firms, and continues to invest heavily in growth across its commercial team. Its product suite sits at the intersection of institutional research, investment strategy, data and market intelligence, with a client base made up of PMs, CIOs, strategists and investment teams.

This is not a generic SaaS sale. The role requires someone who can create urgency around high-value research, build trust with senior buy-side investors, and maintain the activity levels required to open new institutional relationships.

The position is best suited to an ambitious salesperson looking to step into a larger platform and more prestigious institutional client base. The successful candidate does not need to be a macro strategist or markets expert, but they must genuinely enjoy financial markets and be comfortable engaging with sophisticated investment professionals.

Key Requirements

  • Proven track record of winning new business within institutional financial markets.
  • Experience selling subscriptions, research, data, SaaS or investment-related solutions.
  • Existing exposure to hedge funds, asset managers, multi-managers or other buy-side clients.
  • Experience selling to PMs, CIOs, strategists, investment teams or similar investment decision-makers.
  • Strong outbound and commercial instincts.
  • Comfortable running full sales cycles independently.
  • High energy, ambitious and motivated by growth environments.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe regularly.
  • Language skills are beneficial but not essential.

Experience within investment research, alternative data, market intelligence, investment technology, analytics platforms, expert networks or institutional SaaS businesses would all be relevant, provided the candidate has sold to the right buy-side audience.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected and growing institutional business with strong commercial momentum, a premium product suite and relationships with some of the world's leading investment firms.
