Locum Oncology Pharmacist
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Locum Oncology Pharmacist to join a leading NHS hospital through our agency. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with oncology experience to work within a specialist multidisciplinary team supporting cancer treatment services.
The Role
You will provide specialist clinical pharmacy support to oncology and haematology services, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of systemic anti-cancer treatments (SACT) and oncology medicines management.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical screening and validation of oncology prescriptions
- Supporting chemotherapy and SACT services
- Providing specialist clinical advice to consultants, nurses, and wider MDTs
- Reviewing and optimising oncology treatment regimens
- Supporting aseptic services and oncology governance processes
- Ensuring compliance with national cancer treatment protocols and safety standards
- Patient counselling and medicines education
Requirements
- Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Previous NHS oncology pharmacy experience essential
- Experience working with chemotherapy/SACT services
- Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively within a specialist multidisciplinary team
Rates
