Band 5/6 Speech and Language Therapist

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

The Role

Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 5/6 Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist school in Tadworth supporting children and young people aged 4–19 with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and challenging behaviours.

Details

The role involves working within a specialist educational setting, supporting students with complex communication and behavioural needs. You will provide assessment and intervention to support communication, emotional regulation, and access to learning.

Responsibilities

• Manage a paediatric caseload of children and young people with ASD
• Complete speech, language, and communication assessments
• Develop and implement individualised therapy plans
• Support students with social communication and behavioural regulation
• Work collaboratively with school staff, families, and the multidisciplinary team
• Contribute to EHCPs and educational outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical records and reports

Requirements

• HCPC registration
• Experience working within paediatric speech and language therapy
• Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and communication needs
• Ability to work independently within educational settings
• Strong communication and organisational skills
