• Design and integrate enclosures, housings, structural assemblies and internal packaging layouts

• Support integration of electrical components including busbars, cabling, cooling systems, connectors and power electronics

• Design solutions optimised for manufacture, assembly, serviceability and cost

• Support concept development through to detailed design and engineering release

• Participate in design reviews, problem-solving and product improvement activities

System Integration & Engineering Support

• Work closely with electrical, systems and manufacturing teams to support full hardware integration

• Support prototype builds, testing and validation activities

• Resolve packaging, tolerance and integration issues across assemblies

• Support supplier engagement, component selection and engineering changes

• Assist with installation and deployment-related engineering activities where required

Validation, Quality & Manufacturing

• Support DFMEA, DFM and DFA activities

• Produce manufacturing-ready drawings and documentation

• Support testing, validation and continuous product improvement

• Ensure designs meet quality, safety and regulatory requirements

Experience & Skills Required

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

• Strong 3D CAD design experience within automotive, EV, product development or electromechanical engineering environments

• Experience designing complex mechanical assemblies and integrated hardware products

• Experience with packaging and integration of electrical or electronic components

• Understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerance management and design-for-manufacture principles

• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

• Ability to work independently within a fast-paced engineering environment

Highly Desirable

• EV charging, battery systems or power electronics experience

• Experience designing housings, enclosures or structural packaging solutions

• Busbar integration or high-voltage component packaging experience

• Experience within automotive, motorsport, EV or clean-tech sectors
