Job description
SALES MANAGER – SPORT & FITNESS (NORTH)
Midlands / North / Scotland - Home based contract
£Excellent salary, bonus, car / car allowance, pension, healthcare etc.
We’re looking for a Sales Manager to lead our Sport & Fitness channel across the North — someone who understands gym culture, loves commercial wins, and knows that the best partnerships are built somewhere between strategy, personality, and a protein shake.
The mission?
Make our brand impossible to miss in gyms across the UK.
From independent fitness studios to national chains, you’ll lead a team responsible for driving growth, winning new business, and building standout partnerships across the Sport & Fitness world.
You won’t just manage accounts.
You’ll build momentum.
What you’ll actually be doing
Leading a team that knows how to win
You’ll manage and coach a team of Regional Account Executives, helping them grow confidence, capability, and commercial results.
This means:
- Supporting and developing your team
- Unlocking strengths and improving performance
- Celebrating wins loudly
- Tackling challenges early
- Creating a culture people genuinely want to be part of
You’ll be the kind of manager people remember for the right reasons.
Growing the Sport & Fitness channel
You’ll work with gyms, fitness operators, and decision-makers to create partnerships that drive visibility, sales, and long-term growth.
Your week could include:
- Pitching to a fitness chain
- Reviewing sales performance with your team
- Visiting gyms to spot opportunities in the real world
- Collaborating with marketing on activations
- Building plans that turn insight into action
If you like sitting still all day… this role probably isn’t for you.
Building relationships that actually matter
You’ll spend time with customers understanding what they need, what their members love, and how to create value beyond “just another supplier.”
The goal?
Partnerships that feel authentic, commercial, and mutually beneficial.
Staying ahead of the game
You’ll keep a close eye on:
- Fitness trends
- Competitor activity
- Consumer behaviour
- Emerging gym concepts
- Industry shifts
Basically, if something interesting is happening in fitness, you’ll probably already know about it.
Who you are
You probably:
- Have a real passion for sports / fitness
- Have experience leading sales teams and hitting targets
- Know how to inspire people without sounding like a motivational poster
- Are commercially sharp and relationship-driven
- Feel comfortable presenting, negotiating, and influencing
- Love fast-paced environments where no two days look the same
- Can analyse performance data and hold a great conversation on a gym floor
- Have a valid UK driving licence and don’t mind life on the road
Bonus points if you’ve worked in fitness, hospitality, FMCG, or field sales before.
What’s in it for you?
- The chance to shape a fast-growing channel
- The chance to join a global FMCG brand with fantastic progression opportunities
- Leadership responsibility with real influence
- A role that mixes strategy, people, and performance
- A team that wants to win together
- The opportunity to build partnerships with some of the biggest names in fitness
And yes — visiting gyms will officially count as work
