Construction Site Supervisor – M&E


Location: Bracknell

Contract: 6 months initially

Rate: £34.77 per hour (Umbrella)

Hours: 36 hours per week


Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Supervisor with a strong Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) background to oversee installation works on a major site in Bracknell.

This role will focus on the day-to-day supervision and coordination of M&E activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise mechanical and electrical installation works including HVAC, pipework, plumbing, electrical containment, cabling, and plant installation
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with approved drawings, specifications, and RAMS
  • Monitor site progress against programme and report delays or technical issues
  • Maintain accurate daily site records and progress updates
  • Enforce health & safety procedures and stop unsafe works where required
  • Attend and support toolbox talks and task briefings
  • Conduct quality inspections, including first-fix and second-fix checks
  • Support testing, commissioning, and final handover activities
  • Oversee snagging, defect resolution, and re-work
  • Coordinate with site teams, engineers, subcontractors, and other trades
  • Ensure correct materials, equipment, and plant are available and compliant


Requirements


Essential:

  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification
  • CSCS Supervisory Card (M&E relevant)
  • Mechanical or Electrical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Proven experience supervising M&E works on construction sites
  • Strong understanding of M&E systems, installation methods, and health & safety


Desirable:

  • First Aid at Work
  • Additional site certifications (e.g. Confined spaces, hot works, HV/LV awareness)

  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • High attention to detail and quality standards


Working Environment

  • Site-based role in a live construction environment
  • Work may take place in plant rooms, risers, and restricted spaces
  • Flexibility required to meet project timelines
