Junior Technical Manager

I am recruiting for a fresh produce business supplying high-quality fresh produce to major retailers across the UK. Working closely with a network of UK and international growers, they are committed to delivering safe, compliant and consistently high-quality produce.

The Role

My client is looking for a Junior Technical Manager to support their technical team, with a strong focus on supplier management and compliance. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in fresh produce technical, with exposure to both UK and global supply chains.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a key point of contact for suppliers on technical and compliance matters
• Maintain and review supplier documentation, including specifications, HACCP and audit reports
• Ensure all supplier information meets customer and legal requirements
• Support the approval and ongoing monitoring of suppliers
• Assist with due diligence, traceability and product integrity processes
• Work closely with growers and packhouses to resolve quality or compliance issues
• Support customer technical queries and retailer requirements where needed
• Maintain internal systems and databases with accurate, up-to-date information

About You

• Experience in a technical or quality role within fresh produce
• Understanding of food safety, fresh produce, quality systems and supplier assurance
• Confident in communicating with fresh produce suppliers and building strong working relationships
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable managing documentation and working with data
