(Junior) Electrical Design Engineer – Solar + BESS | London (3x p/w)

If you're looking for a Junior-Level Electrical Design Engineer role where you'll be working with genuine industry experts on Leading European Solar PV Projects - this one is for you!

The Role

You’ll join a growing technical team at a Major European EPC supporting the design and delivery of large‑scale solar and energy‑storage projects. Working alongside senior engineers, you’ll help produce electrical designs, specifications, and technical documentation across LV/MV systems, protection, SCADA, and grid‑connected assets.

This is a Junior Level role, so support with the Project Team will be on hand, alongside an active program to build up your skills in the Electrical Engineering space.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with LV, MV and HV electrical design
• Produce CAD drawings, schematics, and design deliverables
• Support protection, earthing, and SCADA specifications
• Contribute to tenders, proposals, and technical reports
• Ensure compliance with IEC standards and internal ISO processes
• Support FAT/SAT activities and site engineering when required

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or close
• Initial experience in power systems, renewables, or electrical design
• Familiarity with AutoCAD; exposure to PVSyst, DigSilent, or similar tools is a bonus
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team
• Full UK driving licence & ability to work in London 3x per week.
