Site Engineer - Part time

Job description

This position is initially offered on a 24-month contract and is likely to be extended. The role will mainly support a customer site on the outskirts of Warrington, close to the M62 motorway, working approximately 2 days per week.

Our client is a well-established and highly respected UK specialist in Process Weighing systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, hands-on engineer who enjoys fault finding, servicing, maintenance, and solving problems on-site. The role could suit:

What we need from you as a Site Engineer:

• Good practical electrical and mechanical skills
• Experience servicing, maintaining, repairing, or fault finding on equipment or machinery
• Someone who enjoys hands-on engineering work and problem solving
• Full UK driving licence
• Flexible and reliable approach to work
• Able to work independently and represent the company professionally on customer sites
• Able to complete service paperwork and reports accurately
• Any software or electronics knowledge would be beneficial

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out scheduled calibration, servicing, and maintenance of dynamic checkweigh and weighing systems
• General maintenance and fault finding on customer equipment
• Manual handling of test weights for calibration purposes
• Working closely with the wider engineering team to deliver a professional customer service

Salary: £30,000 pro rata (2 days per week - flexible), depending on experience and ability
