Senior Care Assistant - Nights

Job description

Main duties of the jobAs a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, supporting resident care planning, assisting with medication, undertaking staff supervision and supporting staff development. You will also act as a key point of contact with residents, their relatives, visitors and other healthcare professionals.

Package Details

Shift Details: 21:30 - 07:30, 10‐hour night shift, 2 shifts per week

Job responsibilities

Monitor the wellbeing of each resident and record any changes or new needs.

Involve in person‐centred care planning, implementing and monthly evaluating plans.

Support residents with medication.

Conduct staff supervisions and assist with staff development.

Act as key point of contact for residents, relatives, visitors and other health/social care professionals, addressing requests and escalating concerns or complaints.

About you

Have an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care for care homes.

Have at least 2 years experience working in a similar care environment.

Can communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Have a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.

Be responsive and flexible with a range of responsibilities.

Additional requirements

DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by employer).

Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
