Job description
Shift TimesTues, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 22:00 to 06:00 and participation within the bank holiday rota.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assist with patient handling and restraint.
Ensure that all handling and restraint is carried out in a patient‐friendly approach to minimize stress or discomfort.
Assist with medication handling and preparation for dispensing.
Prepare and maintain patient accommodation, considering the patient's condition, welfare, environmental enrichment, and supporting aids as necessary.
Clean and disinfect patient accommodation and all necessary areas of the practice.
In‐patient care includes exercising, feeding, and grooming hospitalized patients.
Assist with laboratory diagnostic techniques, including preparation and maintenance of equipment, processing samples, and packaging for external laboratories.
Clean, package, and sterilize sterile supplies.
Maintain theatre, including preparation of the environment and equipment, and cleaning.
Assist Veterinary Surgeons, Registered and Student Veterinary Nurses, Reception staff, and other team members as required.
Attend and contribute to practice meetings and events.
