Through investment in learning, innovation, and wellbeing, we create environments where our teams can grow in confidence, capability, and fulfilment—at every stage of their career.At Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists, you'll become part of a leading multidisciplinary referral hospital, working alongside an experienced specialist-led team across a wide range of disciplines including Surgery, Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Anaesthesia, Dermatology and Diagnostic Imaging.Working closely with the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department, this is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop a dedicated Small Animal Pain Management Clinic within a progressive referral setting, delivering evidence-based care for complex referral cases.Initially, this role is offered on a 2-day-per-week basis, with the specific working days open to discussion and flexibility to suit the successful candidate where possible.How You'll Make a Difference As part of our multidisciplinary referral team, you will deliver advanced pain management care for a wide range of complex medical, surgical, neurological and orthopaedic cases. Working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple disciplines, you'll play an important role in improving patient comfort, mobility and quality of life.Key responsibilities will include: Leading and delivering a small animal referral pain management clinic alongside the physiotherapy and rehabilitation teamAssessing and managing acute and chronic pain in complex referral casesDesigning and implementing multimodal pain management plans tailored to individual patients, including complementary therapies such as acupunctureCollaborating with specialists across Surgery, Medicine, Oncology, Neurology, Anaesthesia, Dermatology and Diagnostic ImagingProviding detailed case communication and follow-up support to referring veterinary practicesContributing to the ongoing development of pain management protocols and services within the practiceBuilding strong relationships with clients and referring veterinary surgeons to support the continued growth of the clinicYou Might Be a Great Fit If... We're looking for a clinician with a passion for pain management and rehabilitation, who enjoys collaborative working within a specialist referral environment.
