Job Title: Driver/Depot Assistant

Reporting To: Depot Manager

Hourly Rate: £14.80

Contract Type: Casual

Hours/Days per week: 37.5 hours per week, shift basis 5 days out of 7 (Mon‐Sun). Any 7.5 hours between 07:30 and 19:00.

About The Felix ProjectThe Felix Project and FareShare have recently merged to form the UK's largest food redistribution charity. Its vision is a UK where good food is never wasted, and nobody goes hungry.

The organisation rescues high‐quality edible surplus food from across the food industry and delivers it to over 8,000 organisations across the UK who work to strengthen communities and improve lives.

The charity manages seven depots across London, Suffolk, Merseyside and Hampshire and partners with 16 network organisations that operate a further 26 regional depots.

Over the next year our ambition is to rescue enough food nationally to provide nearly 200 million meals, turning an environmental problem into social good.

Job OverviewWe are seeking three Driver/Depot Assistants to play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our food distribution services. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a positive, can‐do attitude. While the role offers a high degree of flexibility, initial responsibilities include:

Organising and sorting food deliveries at the depot

Driving or co‐driving to deliver and collect food from partner organisations

As the face of The Felix Project on the road, you will represent the charity to our supported organisations and help enhance the quality of service we provide.

Qualifications and Experience

Right to work in the UK

A full UK driving licence with no more than six points held for at least one year (and over age 21 for insurance purposes)

Willingness to engage in light to medium physical work

Previous warehouse experience and use of a pump truck

Ability and willingness to work in a busy environment

Ability to work within a team of varied individuals

Meticulous organisational skills and attention to detail

Committed to reducing food waste and helping address food poverty

Full UK Driving Licence with no more than six points held for at least one year (over age 21) for insurance purposes
