Regulatory Lawyer (Solicitor or Barrister, 3+ PQE) – Healthcare Defence | Cura Law LimitedLocation: London / Remote (UK)

Working pattern: Part-time (3 days per week, flexible)

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 FTE (£36,000 - £42,000 actual for 3 days) + benefits

Founded by a barrister and a solicitor advocate, we represent healthcare professionals in fitness to practise proceedings across a range of regulators, including the GCC, GOsC, GDC, HCPC, UKCP and BACP. While we have particular expertise in defending chiropractors, our client base continues to expand across the wider healthcare sector.

The OpportunityWe are looking for a solicitor or barrister (3+ PQE) to join our growing team and support our expanding caseload in healthcare regulatory defence.

This role offers high-quality, meaningful work within a flexible and supportive environment. You will have the opportunity to take on real responsibility, contribute to case strategy, and develop your advocacy and advisory skills.

The RoleYou will:

Assist with a caseload of healthcare regulatory matters, including fitness to practise proceedings

Prepare cases for hearing, including drafting witness statements, bundles and legal submissions

Undertake advocacy in interim order applications, review hearings and preliminary matters

Progress (depending on experience) to advocacy in substantive hearings

Liaise closely with clients and regulators throughout investigations

Provide clear, practical and high-quality regulatory advice

Work collaboratively with the directors on case strategy and preparation

About YouYou will:

Be a qualified solicitor or barrister with 3+ years' PQE

Ideally have experience in regulatory or healthcare work (although this is not essential)

Have strong analytical, drafting and organisational skills

Be confident working both independently and collaboratively in a remote environment

Demonstrate a genuine commitment to excellent client care and professional standards

Be motivated, proactive and interested in developing within a growing specialist firm
