Overview Avery Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant for Darwin Court Care Home in Lichfield. This role involves night shifts with details to be discussed. The Assistants provide high standards of personal care, ensuring continuity of services to residents.Responsibilities Assist residents with personal hygiene and enable their independence while maintaining dignity and respect.Recognise and understand clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, falls and infections, and raise any identified risks promptly.Act courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting each individual's dignity.Practice safe systems of work across all tasks.Contribute fully to the care team and support the continuity of services to residents.Qualifications and Requirements No specific qualifications required; comprehensive induction and training provided.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Initiative, respectfulness, efficiency, adaptability and flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.Ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members.Strong commitment to the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable.Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).Service and Development Avery Healthcare offers opportunities for learning and development in a compassionate work environment.
