Description Penrose Health attends university student fairs across London to help students register with a GP easily and confidently.Department: Patient RegistrationLocation: South East London SitesCompensation: £12.75 / hourDescription Penrose Health attends university student fairs across London to help students register with a GP easily and confidently.This is a casual, non-clinical role focused on being friendly, approachable, and helpful.You will be part of an on-site team supporting students to complete GP registrations, with NHS staff present at all times to handle any clinical questions.What You'll Be Doing Welcome students in a friendly, confident wayExplain the GP registration process using a clear, provided scriptHelp students complete registration forms accuratelyReassure students and answer basic process questionsClearly signpost any medical or clinical queries to NHS staff on siteRepresent Penrose Health professionally at all timesHelping setting up / taking down the stallThe focus is on support and clarity , not selling or persuading.What this role does not involve Giving medical adviceDiscussing symptoms or treatmentMaking clinical decisionsApplying pressure or sales techniquesYou will always have clear boundaries and on-site support.Who This Role Suits Friendly and comfortable talking to new peopleConfident approaching students in a busy environmentClear and calm when explaining simple processesReliable and punctualHappy following a loose script and guidanceYou do not need healthcare experience.Desirable (but Not Essential) Current university studentStudying at a London universityPrevious experience as a student ambassador, event staff, or in customer serviceInterest in healthcare, public service, or community supportContract and pay Contract type: Casual / temporaryHours: Short shifts, typically around 4 hoursExample: 11:00–15:00Pay: £12.75 per hourPlus £2 for each completed GP registrationLocation: London university campuses including LSBU, King's, and othersWorking pattern: This is a rolling pool role; Shifts will be offered as and when events take place; No guaranteed hoursWhy join the pool Flexible, short shifts that fit around studiesPaid experience working at live eventsOpportunity to support student access to NHS servicesA role you can return to multiple times across the year
