Future Tutor OpportunityExplore Learning is looking for future tutors across the UK, especially at the Cheltenham centre.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver tailored sessions using Compass to facilitate learning through questioning, scaffolding and stretching.
Build meaningful relationships with a 16:1 ratio, providing a safe, inspiring environment where children can take risks and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Drive academic progress by supporting members through the national curriculum, entrance exams and GCSE preparation, celebrating milestones and successes along the way.
Ideal Candidate Qualities
Confident leading small group sessions (up to 16 students), inspiring engagement, using positive behaviour management strategies and prioritising safety and wellbeing.
Comfortable supporting children aged 4–16 across the national curriculum, including 11+ entrance exams and GCSE content.
Committed to building meaningful, long‐term relationships and providing consistency and stability that helps children thrive.
Location & ContractLocation: On‐site at our Cheltenham centre.
Contract: Part‐time, minimum 6 hours a week spread over at least two weekdays.
Shift times: 3:30‐4:00 pm Tuesday, 3:30‐4:00 pm Wednesday, 3:30‐4:00 pm Thursday, 3:30‐4:00 pm Friday and morning/afternoon Saturday.
Pay & ProgressionBase hourly rates: Under 18: £840 , 18‐20: £10.90 , 21+: £12.75 . An additional £0.50 per hour will be added if working at a centre inside the M25. Pay increases annually based on hours tutored.

Requirements
Minimum age 16 and right to work in the UK.
Achieved Grade 6 or above in Maths and English at GCSE level or equivalent; predicted grades acceptable if results are forthcoming within 3 months.
Proof of eligibility to work required; no sponsorship is offered.
