Care and Support - Ashlea Court Care HomeOaklea Dementia Care Unit, within Ashlea Court Care Home, is part of Willinbrook Healthcare and provides specialist dementia care for up to 26 residents. The unit offers a structured, supportive and homely environment designed to meet the needs of individuals living with dementia.
Care Assistant – Night Shift | Full Time and Part Time£13.55 per hour. Full time and part time contracts available. Night shift offered. Paid PVG, pension and uniform provided. Onsite parking. 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract).
Role OverviewAs a Care Assistant, you play an important part in supporting residents living with dementia within a specialist, structured environment. This opportunity is open to both new and experienced candidates, with full training and ongoing support provided.
Working as part of a close‐knit team, the role supports residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and daily routines, always promoting dignity, comfort and independence. Care is delivered in line with individual care plans, ensuring consistency and a calm, reassuring approach.
The role also involves building meaningful relationships with residents, supporting emotional well‐being and encouraging engagement in daily activities. Whether working day or night shifts, the focus remains on creating a safe, positive and supportive environment.
What We Are Looking For
Kind, compassionate and patient approach
Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential
SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care preferred or willingness to work towards
Good communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Training and DevelopmentA structured dementia care development programme is provided, along with ongoing training and mentorship. Opportunities to progress into senior roles as skills and confidence develop.
