Health Care Assistant – Eastlands Care HomeLocation: Sutton-in-Ashfield, NG17 4BR.

Contract: 8am‐2pm and 2pm‐8pm mixed shifts.

Rate: £13.21 per hour (£13.31 upon completion of the Exemplar Care Certificate).

About the RoleThe Health Care Assistant supports adults living with complex care needs to live their best lives. Your day‐to‐day responsibilities will include:

Encouraging and engaging residents in learning and developing their daily living skills and independence

Recognising when residents are unwell and providing appropriate support

Supporting personal care such as washing, showering, and dressing

Assisting at meal times

Addressing health and wellbeing needs

Promoting participation in social activities, both within and outside the home

Promoting choice, dignity, independence, and respect at all times

Filling in care records

Qualifications

Experience in a similar care environment working with people with complex needs

Demonstrated caring, kind, understanding, and calm demeanour

Ability to manage and defuse challenging situations

Energetic and outgoing, with a positive, can‐do attitude

Excellent listening and communication skills
