About the RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician (Part‐time) to join our Primary Care team at HMP Long Lartin, a Category A prison located in Littleton. This male prison serves life sentences and has a capacity for 690 inmates.

Hours : 22.5 hours per week. Shift patterns will be a mixture of days (9‐hour shifts) and weekends on a rota basis.

Salary : Full time, you'll receive an annual salary between £29,264 – £33,510 pro‐rated, depending on experience.

What You'll Be Doing

Provide outstanding quality, patient‐centred care, seeking out, listening to, and acting on patient feedback to personalise care.

Ensure a safe and secure medicines‐management service, maintaining patient medical records to the agreed standard at all times and following standard operating procedures to a high and orderly standard.

Deliver non‐judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, from the timely administration of medicines to the analysis of cost‐effective prescribing as defined by our unique Health in Justice medicines policy.

Forge strong links within our teams, partners and stakeholders to provide a service that people can trust, feel safe in, and feel proud of.

NVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC or equivalent

Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council

Up‐to‐date CPD record

Relevant post‐qualification pharmacy experience

General GCSE education or equivalent

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
