Pre‐registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician ApprenticeshipWe are looking for an enthusiastic and self‐motivated individual (2 positions) to join our progressive pharmacy team at West Middlesex University Hospital, part of Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust.

Salary

Year 1: 70% of the top of Band 4 + Outer London HCAS

Year 2: 75% of the top of Band 4 + Outer London HCAS

StageThis is a two‐year fixed‐term apprenticeship starting on 03 September 2026.

Responsibilities

Work across Inpatients and Outpatients dispensaries, distribution, goods receipt & purchasing, technical services, clinical trials, medicines management, medicines information, and clinical governance sections.

Rotate between West Middlesex and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital sites.

Receive full practical training in‐house and follow a competency‐based programme.

Support patients with medication, manage the supply of medicines, assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, and manufacture sterile products.

Progress through a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians while working.

Qualifications & Requirements

Patient‐focused, with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Quick learner, eager to get involved, and committed to the training programme.

Ability to balance studying while working and to work as part of a team in a busy department.

Willing and able to follow an academic and practical training course.

Commit up to 10 hours per week of personal study time.
