About the roleA vacancy at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for a Paediatric Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to lead and manage our growing designated paediatric emergency service. The unit is part of our main A&E Department, seeing approximately 50-90 children a day covering all specialities except minor injury.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the shift co‐coordinator, providing supervision and support to the multi-disciplinary team.

Develop, manage and monitor performance of the nursing team, ensuring highest standards of care and safety.

Promote effective communication and teamwork at all levels.

Demonstrate clinical leadership skills and evidence of specialist knowledge.

Assist the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in management of staff within the Emergency Department, including human resource management, clinical governance and risk management.

Contribute toward the strategic and operational development of the department.

Qualifications and Experience

Registered paediatric nurse with the NMC.

Passion for quality patient‐focused care.

Previous experience in paediatric emergency nursing or paediatric ITU/HDU.

Willingness to undertake a leadership role.
