Job description
Band 2 Patient Transport Driver - WindsorPart‐time post: 18.75 hours per week.
You must have a C1 licence to be considered for interview.
Location: Windsor Dialysis, 1 Maidenhead Road, Old Ambulance Station, Windsor, SL4 5EY. Fringe payment: 5% of gross basic salary.
Covered shifts: Monday to Saturday, 06:00 to 12:30. No night duty.
Main dutiesTransport patients safely to and from their residences, following a fixed schedule and planning routes to ensure timely and efficient service. Ensure all vehicles are driven to the required standard, maintaining patient comfort and complying with road traffic and DVLA regulations. Undertake Trust induction and mandatory drivers' training.
Person specificationQ1 – Cat DQ2 – Cat C1Q3 – Full Driving Licence
ExperiencePrevious vocational driving experience with similar vehicles.Experience delivering to a schedule.Experience in record keeping.Previous NHS experience.First Aid certification.
SkillsGood knowledge of Windsor and surrounding areas.
Disclosure and Barring Service CheckSubject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. Submission to the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
