Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner - Stafford/Cannock

Job responsibilities

Work within the Staffordshire Talking Therapies service while undertaking a structured training programme at the University of Birmingham in partnership with Aston University.

Progressively learn and deliver low‐intensity interventions at high volume to patients with anxiety and depression.

Conduct assessments and provide face‐to‐face and remote Low‐Intensity Interventions.

Participate in extensive clinical and caseload supervision.

Provide psychological intervention services to adults with intellectual/learning disability who have concurrent common mental health problems.

Seek BABCP accreditation after 6 months of relevant patient contact.

Eligibility and qualifications

Qualifications suitable to level of study (e.g. Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent such as Registered Nurses or AHPs).

Graduate Certificate route – a degree plus 2 Advanced Level GCSEs (A‐C) or equivalent.

Postgraduate Certificate (M Level) qualification route.

Relevant experience necessary for clinical practice, including experience working with adults who have suffered with a mental health problem.

Excellent organisational, motivational, written and verbal communication skills.

Strong ability to engage people, identify barriers and understand client needs.

Employment detailsHours of work: 37.5 hours per week.Salary: £28,392 per annum (NHS AFC Band 4).Location: Staffordshire Talking Therapies – Stafford or Cannock.
