About the roleYou will be a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, delivering a high standard of care alongside colleagues, providing personal care, promoting nutritional needs and assisting patients on their recovery journey.

Key responsibilities

Provide high quality personal care to patients and support staff working in community, acute hospital and theatre settings.

Participate in comprehensive training and induction programmes, achieving competency in renal nursing care.

Assist in the delivery of haemodialysis services at Heavitree Haemodialysis Unit, including in‐centre dialysis for up to 120 patients.

Travel to other dialysis units in South or East Devon to provide specialist cover as required.

Maintain accurate patient records and follow NHS health and safety protocols.

Work shifts including Long Earlies (07:30 – 18:30) and Long Lates (12:00 – 23:00) Monday to Saturday, with additional pay for overtime.

Person Specification

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Good to exceptional teamwork ability.

Experience or willingness to receive training in renal dialysis and medical support roles.

Must meet the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and successful Disclosure and Barring Service check.
