Available Positions Two student sonographer positions available – one at North Tyneside General Hospital and another at Wansbeck General Hospital. Base site to be discussed during interview.Key Responsibilities Complete the Post Graduate Certificate and Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound to become an autonomous practitioner contributing to the sonographer‐led service.Undertake the full required clinical caseload of the Trust, excluding the most complex interventions performed by medical staff.Manage the patient pathway for designated referrals, prepare comprehensive reports of findings, seek appropriate advice if required, and ensure communication with appropriate clinicians.Take responsibility for image archiving and electronic data management generated during procedures.About the Trust Northumbria Healthcare NHS Trust operates across several hospitals, including North Tyneside General Hospital, Wansbeck General Hospital, Hexham, and Cramlington Emergency Hospital, as well as a network of community sites. The Trust supports staff development and focuses on both staff and patient experience.Additional Information The provisions of Agenda for Change Annex 21 – Arrangements for Pay and Banding of Trainees will apply during training in this role.
