Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated sonographer with UK experience and HCPC registration or a relevant professional body. The role involves contributing to a high-quality Diagnostic Ultrasound Service and supporting appropriate clinical practice as part of a multidisciplinary team.Main duties of the job The post-holder participates in the provision of a high-quality Diagnostic Ultrasound Service to the Trust, supporting the superintendent radiographer in the day-to-day organisation of the department and accepting responsibility for designated areas of work.Working for our organisation We operate from two main sites and are committed to delivering high-quality care. Our Trust has a large and diverse workforce and provides opportunities for professional development.Detailed job description and main responsibilities For further information on this role, please see the attached detailed Job Description and Person Specification.Person specification Education / Qualifications To hold a BSc Hons degree or DCR in Diagnostic Radiography.Experience NHS experience in ultrasound imaging post qualification.Skills / Abilities High level inter-personal and communications skills.Experienced scanning skills to include obstetrics DVTs, groins, hernias, testes, MSK, kidney transplants, paediatrics.Other Sufficient ability to perform the duties of the post with any aids and adaptations.All new staff appointed at the Trust are subject to a probationary period.
